Libertarian Party of Mercer County, New Jersey

On November 12th at 1pm, the Libertarian Party of Mercer County, New Jersey, will have a County Caucus during the New Jersey General Meeting of the New Jersey Libertarian Party at Tumulty's Pub located at 361 George Street in New Brunswick. Feel free to contact me if you'd like to join us.

The next business meeting is scheduled for 2pm on January 6th at the Lawrence Branch of the Mercer County Library.

I voted!!!

Well, I voted today. Kaitlyn, Ellie, and I all wore our "Vote Libertarian" pins to the polling place. The odd thing they do here is have you sign in and they give you a slip with a number on it. Then they put the slip through a pin attached to a string in the order people use the machine. I asked if they keep track of how people vote and the election official said they don't, but then why the number on the paper? It's sad that the votes are kept in an editable unencrypted access database, so it may not matter how I vote.

I voted for Libertarian Len Flynn for Senate, an independent for Mayor, and wrote my name in for the other positions. Cato's podcast on November 3rd had a few points about voting which I mostly agree with and I kept myself for voting for the lessor of two evils when there wasn't another option. I was actually concerned about how I would vote because in most of the races I didn't like either candidate. I never considered not voting for either! I'll enjoy voting for myself more in 2008 because I'll actually be on the ballot! I'll have to start considering which position to run for!

Hope everyone enjoyed the opportunity to cast their votes!
